Cisco Certified Network Professional Security Certification

On February 24, 2020, Cisco will release new certification exams. New training will roll out over the next several months. If you have started working toward the current CCNP Security certification, then keep going. If you gain your CCNP Security certification before February 24, 2020 then you will automatically be given the new CCNP Security Certification plus 5 Specialist Certifications. IF you do not complete before the February 24, 2020 then you will receive credit for work you’ve already completed.
The Cisco Certified Network Professional Security certification validates the skills required by network security engineers to design, test, deploy, configure, maintain and manage end-to-end network security solutions.
The demand for network security engineers will continue to grow as our networks continue to come under attack, it has never been more important to make sure that your security devices such as Next Generation Firewalls, Next Generation Intrusion Prevention Systems, VPN's and Secure Access Control are fully implemented. Recertification
Cisco Professional-level certifications (CCDP, CCNP Cloud, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Security, CCNP Service Provider, and CCNP Wireless) are valid for three years.
To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:
- Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam, or
- Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
- Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
- Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications.
