Universities can not cope with the large interest in artificial intelligence studies
- Date: 28 August, 2018
The Dutch News organization NOS recently reported that universities see more applications for artificial intelligence studies for the coming academic year than they can handle. Some educational institutions received the double amount of applications compared to the current academic year. Studies such as data science and business analytics are also on the rise. Almost every university is struggling with problems as a result of growth and many educational institutions are therefore putting a limit on the number of applications.
We will most definitely not put a hold on the number of applications for training on these topics, but we do recognize the increasing demand for training in the fields of AI, Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics. The growing interest is related to the increasing demand for specialists who can help organizations with the 'new industrial revolution'. The importance is great to filter out huge amounts of data, information that contributes to improving design, production and work processes. The shortage of people who know hown to do this offers good prospects for people who specialize in it.
