About the Instructor: Christine Horstman
Christine Horstman is a Certified Professional Coach and a Certified Career Coach, as well as a Professional Development Instructor and is an Accredited DISC Trainer.
Christine places a strengths-based coaching emphasis on the classes she teaches for Global Knowledge, and believes everything in life comes down to communication. Her philosophy is that you can only change yourself and that learning how to adapt to others leads to improved relationships and outcomes. She uses the DISC Model of Human Behavior to inform her coaching and emphasizes emotional intelligence and soft skills with her clients and in her professional development trainings.
In her coaching and training, Christine draws on her broad-based managerial experience. She began her career in sales and customer service where the ability to work well with others is paramount. She honed her people skills as a sales and general manager in several different industries. Christine’s past business experience includes retail management, wholesale manufacturing, group travel, event planning, and direct marketing. Her responsibilities have included strategic planning, sales, customer service, operations, marketing, and HR.
Early in her career, Christine’s employer invested in training and mentoring and the impact that made on her own professional development has never been forgotten. Christine works hard to make each group training as customized to each learner’s needs as possible. She values interaction, questions, and discussion to enhance the core material.
