The Open Group

The Open Group is a global consortium that enables the achievement of business objectives through technology standards.  Our diverse membership of more than 600 organisations includes customers, systems and solutions suppliers, tool vendors, integrators, academics, and consultants across multiple industries.

The Open Group is made up of credible staff experts; high-profile member organisations from around the world; influential member representatives working in our Governing Board, Forums and Work Groups; and established local partners that further our work and reputation across the globe. Together, the individuals and organisations who make up The Open Group lead the development of open, vendor-neutral IT standards and certifications.

The organisation is probably best known as the originator of the TOGAF®  standard.  Developed and maintained by The Open Group Architecture Forum, the TOGAF® standard has been the de facto standard for Enterprise Architecture for over 20 years.
