Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe
The Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) credential validates a strong foundation in European privacy laws and regulations and an understanding of the legal requirements for the responsible transfer of sensitive personal data to and from the U.S., the EU and other jurisdictions.
The CIPP/E is the fist professional credential specific to European data protection professionals that is part of a comprehensive principles-based framework and knowledge base in information privacy.

About the Exam
The CIPP/E exam consists of 60 scored multiple-choice items and 20 non-scored multiple-choice trial items. The passing score is 300 out of 500 possible points.

CIPP/E Certification Renewal
CIPP/E certification is valid for two years. To maintain your credential, you must meet two minimum requirements over the term of your certification:
- Pay an annual certification maintenance fee (included in IAPP's membership fee).
- Fulfill 20 hours of continuing privacy education (CPE).
