This directive specifically targets critical infrastructure operators and essential service providers, mandating the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures and the prompt reporting of incidents to relevant authorities.
The scope of the NIS 2 Directive is broader, encompassing a wider range of organizations and sectors, while simultaneously strengthening security requirements, simplifying reporting obligations, and imposing more stringent measures and penalties.
