Our partners at Axelos and PeopleCert have released the dates of the much-anticipated higher levels of ITIL 4 education and training.

Here are a few of the key dates.

3rd October 2019: Launch of ITIL 4 Managing Professional Transition Module and exam

The Managing Professional Transition module launch comes first.  This course provides those IT leaders, practitioners and support staff who already hold the ITIL v3 expert (or have 17 points under the ITIL v3 scheme) with a transition to the ITIL 4 Managing Professional designation.  The course provides an understanding of the key concepts of ITIL 4’s service value system that enables successful management of modern IT-enabled services.  It also prepares delegates for the ITIL 4 Managing Professional Transition examination which leads to the award of ITIL 4 Managing Professional status.

Our teams are already writing the course material and we’re anticipating first courses to start running on 30th September. Global Knowledge’s schedule should be available towards the end of July.

November 2019: Launch of “ITIL 4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support” and “ITIL 4 Strategist: Direct, Plan and Improve” from ITIL 4 Managing Professional Modules

The definitive launch date will be available in early August.  These two modules have a prerequisite of the ITIL 4 foundation exam.  Create, Deliver and Support covers the design, transition and operation of IT services within the bounds of the service value system.  Direct, Plan and Improve focuses on the improvement framework and key organisational change perspectives needed for IT transformation programmes.

Q1 2020: Launch of “ITIL 4 Specialist: Drive Stakeholder Value” and “ITIL 4 Specialist: High Velocity IT”

Into quarter 1 of 2020, we will see the final two modules of the ITIL 4 managing professional quartet.  Drive Stakeholder Value will look at the engagement of stakeholder in IT service management at strategic, tactical and operational levels plus the vital relationships with IT suppliers.  High Velocity IT will cross the bridge into the DevOps, Lean and Agile worlds and show how ITIL is the perfect partner to supplement those approaches.
