How a training course saves a AWS customer a lot of money!

Last week, I spoke with a client who had become interested in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud solutions. He told me he had created a free account in his evening hours via the AWS website, and had linked a small amount to it via his credit card. He then cheerfully experimented in the AWS cloud by clicking on several options with his mouse. Satisfied with his first steps in the AWS world, he logged out of his AWS account at the end of the evening.

The next morning, when he logged into his AWS account, he immediately noticed that a small amount had been debited from his credit card. Unknowingly, he had clicked on an option that had cost him money in the wee hours of the night. The damage wasn’t too bad, just a few cents, but for him, this was still a pretty good warning to first get to know AWS’ possibilities and functioning before he and his organization really start seriously and professionally with AWS. This client was then wise to call us for an Amazon Web Services introduction training.
Moral of the story: by taking an AWS training course on time, this client prevented his organization from eventually incurring unnecessary costs in the cloud. After having spoken with the client, the client ultimately opted to follow the AWS introduction training ‘AWS Technical Essentials’ plus the training ‘Architecting on AWS’ training course.
