DevNet Specialisation
The new DevNet specialization gives you a path to build or enhance your software development practice, with a focus on automation and application development on top of Cisco platforms. Many customers are looking to Automate their infrastructure or to connect and integrate their systems to help solve their business problems. A DevNet specialisation provides a path towards a software development practice that allows you to help customers unlock the value of software automation and stay ahead of the curve.
Specialisation Requirements
To earn this specialization, the personnel requirements below must be met. The DevNet certified and business roles have been identified as important to the success of a partner’s software practice. The role requirements below can be fulfilled with a minimum of five (5) unique individuals.These are the required Roles:
- Practitioner Roles
- 2 x Software Practitioners (DevNet Professional Certification): For developers who have at least three to five years of experience designing and implementing applications built on Cisco platforms. Two exams cover designing and developing resilient, robust and secure applications using Cisco APIs and platforms, and managing and deploying applications on Cisco infrastructure
- 2 x Field Practitioners with DevNet Specialist Certification: For developers who have three to five years of experiences with application development, operations, security, or infrastructure. This certification validates specialized knowledge and skills that connect development, operations, security, and network operations in an environment focused on continuous delivery of applications and services using Cisco platforms and devices
- Business Roles:
- 1 x Software Development Strategy Lead
- 1 x Software Sales Lead with DevNet Associate Certification: For developers who have one or more years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining applications that are built on Cisco platforms. This certification validates your core knowledge of Cisco platforms, working with applications, Cisco’s programmability strategy, and APIs
